Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – US Mortgage Operations to lead and manage end-to-end projects across the US mortgage loan lifecycle. The role requires strong domain expertise in mortgage operations, excellent project management capabilities, and the ability to drive compliance, quality, and operational efficiency. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery while meeting regulatory, audit, and business requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
· Manage and deliver projects across the US mortgage lifecycle, including:
o Loan origination and processing
o Underwriting coordination
o Document verification and validation
o Loan closing and post-closing
o Loan boarding and servicing
· Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
· Track project progress against SLAs, KPIs, budgets, and timelines; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
· Prepare and present regular project status reports, dashboards, and MIS to senior management and stakeholders.
Mortgage Operations & Domain Oversight
· Provide subject matter expertise across escrow and title management, loan boarding, and servicing functions.
· Oversee support activities related to default and foreclosure processes, as applicable.
· Ensure smooth coordination between operations, QC, compliance, technology, and vendor teams.
Compliance, Quality & Audit
· Drive adherence to US mortgage regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies.
· Oversee QC, risk, and audit reporting across projects.
· Support internal, external, and client audits by ensuring documentation readiness and compliance closure.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
· Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, and third-party vendors.
· Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues, manage dependencies, and address escalations.
· Communicate project expectations, risks, and outcomes clearly to all stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
· Lead process improvement and operational excellence initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and turnaround time.
· Identify automation opportunities, best practices, and scalable solutions across mortgage operations.
· Support change management initiatives and ensure smooth adoption of new processes or systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications
· 8+ years of experience in US mortgage or loan operations, with strong exposure across the loan lifecycle.
· Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
· Strong understanding of US mortgage compliance, QC, audit, and risk management processes.
· Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
· Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or equivalent platforms.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
