Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC & Compliance Analyst to ensure accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance across end-to-end loan and mortgage operations. This role is responsible for performing quality reviews, identifying compliance gaps, supporting audits, and working closely with operations teams to improve process adherence, risk mitigation, and overall loan quality across the loan lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Compliance Reviews

· Perform comprehensive quality checks and compliance reviews across the loan lifecycle, including pre-funding and post-funding stages.

· Review loan files, documentation, and system data to ensure compliance with internal policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines.

· Identify defects, compliance gaps, documentation errors, and process deviations; recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Audit & Risk Management

· Conduct pre-funding and post-funding audits, as applicable.

· Support internal, external, and client audits by preparing audit documentation, responses, and reports.

· Ensure timely closure of audit observations, findings, and compliance issues in coordination with operations and management teams.

· Identify trends, root causes, and risk patterns to support proactive risk mitigation.

Reporting & MIS

· Track QC findings, defect trends, and compliance metrics.

· Prepare and publish MIS, dashboards, and quality reports for management review.

· Maintain audit logs, trackers, and documentation to support governance and compliance requirements.

Process Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration

· Work closely with loan processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing teams to improve quality, accuracy, turnaround time, and SLA adherence.

· Provide feedback, guidance, and clarifications to operational teams on compliance and documentation standards.

· Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen control frameworks and reduce defect rates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 3–6 years of experience in loan or mortgage QC, compliance, or audit roles.

· Strong understanding of end-to-end loan lifecycle processes, including origination, underwriting, closing, post-closing, and servicing.

· Hands-on experience in document review, compliance audits, and reporting.

· Good knowledge of regulatory, investor, and internal compliance guidelines.

· Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

· Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.

· Exposure to default servicing, foreclosure audits, or risk reviews.

· Familiarity with audit methodologies, CAPA tracking, and risk assessment frameworks.
