Full-spectrum ownership of the Mobile Business Unit’s P&L, encompassing strategic growth planning, technical capability development, cross-functional team leadership, and client success management. Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Mobile Business Unit Head with deep technical expertise and a strong foundation in both native and cross-platform mobile development. The ideal candidate will combine full-stack awareness, agile delivery leadership, and product-oriented thinking, with strong project and team management experience. You will lead the strategic direction and execution of mobile-first initiatives, aligning scalable, secure, and high-impact digital solutions with evolving business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
BU Leadership
- Drive BU profitability, optimize delivery velocity, and scale mobile capabilities across clients and projects.
- Manage financials, forecast resource needs, and ensure healthy margins and utilization.
Technology Strategy
- Guide architecture and technical decisions across native (Kotlin/Swift) and cross-platform (Flutter, React Native) stacks.
- Promote Web-Mobile convergence through Progressive Web Apps, Headless CMS, modular frontends, and API-first architecture.
- Stay ahead of emerging tech trends and continuously evolve engineering practices.
Project & Product Management
- Lead end-to-end project delivery using Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps best practices.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business needs into product roadmaps, MVPs, and scalable digital experiences.
- Balance product feature prioritization with technical debt and delivery timelines.
Team & Capability Building
- Build, mentor, and grow high-performing cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and PMs.
- Develop competency frameworks, oversee hiring pipelines, and drive upskilling initiatives and certification targets.
Customer Engagement
- Own client satisfaction, value delivery, and governance oversight.
- Lead solutioning for RFPs, presales demos, technical proposals, and project onboarding.
- Represent the BU in executive-level conversations and customer strategy reviews.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with mobile technologies: Flutter, Kotlin, Swift, React Native.
- Working knowledge of full-stack delivery: REST/GraphQL APIs, Firebase, Node.js, modern frontend frameworks.
- Agile project tools (JIRA, Confluence), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitrise), and mobile deployment standards.
- Experience with mobile analytics, performance tuning, and crash reporting tools (Firebase, Sentry, AppDynamics).
- Solid grounding in product lifecycle management, UX-first delivery, and data-driven decision-making.
Profile Must-haves
- Proven experience in both Project Management (Agile/Scrum, stakeholder management, risk mitigation) and Product Management (roadmap alignment, backlog grooming, outcome-focused delivery).
- Experience managing remote/hybrid cross-functional teams across geographies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering/Technology.
- Preferred Qualifications: PMI-ACP/PMP, CSPO/PSPO, Certified Scrum Master, SAFe® Agilist, TOGAF®, and Cloud Architect certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
