Project Manager – Product (HRMS / CRM)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 10+ years of overall experience, including significant exposure to product-based environments, to lead the delivery of HRMS and/or CRM applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of project execution, stakeholder management, and product delivery experience, with the ability to work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Business teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases. This role focuses on delivery ownership, execution governance, and supporting product prioritization decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Own end-to-end delivery of HRMS / CRM product initiatives across multiple modules and releases.
  • Translate product roadmaps and business requirements into executable project plans with clear milestones.
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of product features and enhancements.
  • Manage dependencies across engineering, QA, DevOps, and external vendors.
  • Drive release governance including release readiness, cutover planning, and go-live coordination.
  • Coordinate delivery across Microsoft .NET engineering teams and ensure alignment with architecture, quality, and release standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Product Owners, Engineering Leads, QA, and Business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular status updates, sprint reviews, release planning, and executive reporting.
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage escalations effectively and ensure timely resolution through stakeholder alignment.

Agile / SDLC Management

  • Drive Agile delivery practices (Scrum / Kanban / Hybrid) across product teams.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, quality standards, and governance processes.
  • Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and ensure proactive mitigation.
  • Coordinate UAT planning and execution with Business stakeholders, ensuring sign-offs are obtained.
  • Track and report delivery metrics (e.g., sprint predictability, cycle time, defect leakage / escape rate) to improve performance.

Product & Domain Alignment

  • Work closely with Product Managers to align execution with product vision and roadmap.
  • Understand HRMS / CRM domain workflows such as:
     
    • Employee lifecycle management.
    • Payroll, attendance, and leave management.
    • Performance management.
    • Learning & Development.
    • CRM lead, opportunity, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Ensure regulatory, compliance, and security considerations are factored into delivery.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Mentor and guide cross-functional teams to improve delivery predictability and velocity.
  • Continuously improve project management processes, metrics, and delivery frameworks.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in a product-based organization.
  • Proven experience managing SaaS products, preferably HRMS or CRM platforms.
  • Experience handling multi-module, multi-release product roadmaps.
  • Candidates with strong delivery depth in either HRMS or CRM are encouraged to apply.

Technical & Methodology Skills

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe – preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Good understanding of modern web application architectures and cloud-based products.
  • Exposure to scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe/LeSS/Nexus) is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to .NET / Microsoft technology stack delivery (e.g., .NET Core, C#, Web APIs, SQL Server, Azure) is strongly preferred.

Domain Knowledge

  • Strong functional understanding of HRMS or CRM systems.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and internal product stakeholders.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving product environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or SAFe certification.
  • Prior experience working with global customers or distributed teams.
  • Exposure to data privacy, compliance, and security standards relevant to HR systems.
